The Webber's 2022 Year In Review

THE WEBBER’S 2022 YEAR IN REVIEW!

Hi everyone!

We wanted to start a tradition as a family where we share a little snapshot of our year with our loved ones across the country-- so here we are! 2022 was full of excitement.

We had a blooming toddler running the show, and news early in the year that we were expecting a second bundle of joy-- a baby boy! We were fortunate to spend time in sunny Florida with my parents (nanny & poppy Bonnell) & again in Newfoundland Spring & Summer with lots of East Coast adventuring.

At home in Waterloo we had many a pool day, time spent at the beach, cottaging with Josh's fam, visits to the big city, lots of golf for Josh & and frequent visits from my family for local adventures, fav spa days & quality time!

This year was one of deepening friendships-- both with our newly parent friends, our local church community & Lively with her friends! It's beautiful to see.

Lively started pre-school, swimming lessons & ballet!

Lively’s absolute favorite things to do are go to church & shopping! Josh prospered in his career with the new PROSPR tool launching & his career as a Director beginning, I set up Bonne Media to continue running with little needed while I focus on motherhood!

Most recently we welcomed our beautiful baby boy into our family, George Kennedy Webber. George completed our family in such a perfect way. It was a special thanksgiving weekend with our growing family! We spent the first weeks of his life celebrating with all of our family & settling into our new routine. At 6 weeks George contracted RSV and had to be treated for one week in London. Thankfully we were able to bring him home fully recovered! Thanking the Lord!

We can't forget celebrating our princess's second birthday with her girly TWO-TU birthday party! As we write this we are preparing for the joyful holiday season ahead with time with family & friends in Waterloo as well as travelling to Newfoundland too!

We are so thankful for all of our family & friends-- you are all such a blessing.

All in all, 2022 was a year of excitement, family growth, motherhood and a shift to a family of 4— change that brings beauty, and new growth.

One thing is certain— God is always so good to his children and it’s such a blessing to get to do life with Him leading, guiding & directing the way.

I’ll leave with a bible verse that I like to call my “life verse” or in other words, a key verse that I often remind myself of to re-orient myself in living life God’s way…

Matthew 5:14-16-14-16 MSG

“Here's another way to put it: You're here to be light, bringing out the God-colors in the world. God is not a secret to be kept. We're going public with this, as public as a city on a hill. If I make you light-bearers, you don't think I'm going to hide you under a bucket, do you?

Following Instructions...

If you’ve been following me for any amount of time, you’ll know that my husband and I just recently moved into our first home! We are absolutely in love and are starting to put our personal touches throughout the space! A part of this is…. FURNITURE ASSEMBLY! Oh the joys LOL.

But my husband and I have slightly different approaches to putting together furniture. For me, I’m a kind of, look at the photos, okay I’ve got the right pieces and I’ve got a good enough idea of how they should go together so let’s dive in.

My husband is a little more detailed and meticulous LOL. He thoroughly reads step by step, keeps the instructions close at hand, screws the screw until it won’t go any tighter, makes sure things are snapped perfectly into place. And it takes a lot more TIME.

But what I had to do much more often than my husband was re-trace my steps and start over. You see I’d take a shortcut that seemed fine at that point in the journey of creating the finished product, but before I knew it, I was at a phase of the project that was dependant on the proper installation and preparation of a former piece, that would not fit together until the previous pieces were properly cared for and put together as was originally instructed.

Are you picking up what I’m putting down? I was thinking about how important this principal is in life. Sometimes we can opt for a shortcut that seems fine and dandy right now, but we realize a few months down the road, or sooner or later, that that short cut has made it next to impossible to properly take the next step in your growth, your goals, your “finished product”.

It’s way more effective and efficient to do it right the first time rather than have to disassemble and re-build. So here’s your reminder, and my reminder, to take your time, be diligent, and invest in doing it right the first time. It sets the foundations for step 2, 3 and 4 resulting in a beautiful end vision established and created.

XOXO

Buying our first HOME!

Buying our first HOME!

Within two weeks our world changed dramatically.

We found out we were pregnant. And we found our dream house & bought it!

C R A Z Y.

But there was a whole lot that went into that 2 week period coming to fruition, a lot of behind the scenes preperation, prayer and diligence. That’s the funny thing in life, sometimes it seems like all of a sudden, poof everything happens, but if you reflect, you’ll see you’ve most likely been taking steps of investment towards that reality for a much longer period of time.
